Organ Donation & Hospice Promotion
According to the Hospice and Palliative Medical Care Regulations (amended on January 9, 2013), the Human Organ Transplant Regulations (amended on July 1, 2015) and the Patient Autonomous Rights Act (amended on June 12, ), when organizing promotional activities, it should provide patients and their families with information about medical decision making at the end of their lives to protect their rights, so that people have the opportunity to think about and decide on the methods of end-of-life medical care. In addition, it should promote information about hospice and organ donation through hospital journals, bulletin boards, TV or hospital websites, so that the peoplecould understand that they still could maintain personal autonomy in the end of life to make the public respect the medical autonomy of patients and value the physical and mental care needs of end-stage patients and their families.
